The Vyair RO-1 Dental pure water system combines five stage filtration water purification unit with optional DI resin stage add-on (shown in image).

Our five stage under-counter filtration system offers rapid water treatment without the use of heat or dangerous chemicals by combining high quality pre-filtration with the option to choose de-ionizing purification technology if required, thereby producing a complete water quality system designed especially for use with autoclaves and commercial steam sterilizers.

The Vyair RO-1 Water Purifier will remove sediment, rust, dirt, taste, odours and many other water contaminants that may be present in the water when cleaning and/or rinsing medical instruments.

If your autoclave features an in-built water testing application and requires water with 0-2 TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) we recommend the addition of a DI stage to ensure that the output water has zero TDS.

Economical and safe, the Vyair RO-1 Water Purifier utilises the highest quality mixed-bed ion-exchange colour-change resin, so that monitoring of your deionized water has never been easier.

It consists of a carefully blended mixture of virgin raw materials, strong acid cation and strong base anion resins. It is widely recommended for all non-regenerable mixed-bed applications where reliable production of the highest quality water is required, and where the resin must have an absolute minimum of ionic and non-ionic contamination before it is used.

Any pre-contamination in the resin will reduce its overall lifespan, so a high quality resin will last longer.

Our MB-115 mixed-bed formulation is regarded by all in the water purification industry as the best performing mixed-bed de-ionisation resin available, consistently out-performing every other brand, pound for pound.

Colour-change resin turns from green to yellow when it has expired, meaning you have a visual indicator of when your resin will need replacing. Ordinary resin usually requires to be checked with a TDS meter, however colour-change esin means you can tell at a glance when it is time to renew the resin.

The Vyair RO-1 Water Purifier is offered as a complete set with filter cartridges, RO membrane, pressurised storage tank, additional accessories and valves to prevent the membrane from becoming dried out.

Important Information: If this unit is being installed into a dental surgery, we would recommend that you get a plumber to install a 15MM Double Check Valve (DCV) with a 3/4" Male Washing Machine Connection. This is because when you have your CQC inspection, it will pass on this aspect.

ADVISORY: Avoid cheap water filtration systems and cartridges which have no testing credentials or certifications, and often

leach harmful chemicals into the water which are linked to cancer, birth defects and infertility. In addition, cheap components may also lead to membrane fouling, leaks and general poor performance. Instead, always choose VYAIR tested and certified water filtration systems and cartridges.

STAGE, PART#, COMPONENT, FUNCTION:

1) PP. 10" in-line sediment cartridge (pre-filter) spun polypropylene. 5 micron sediment filter traps dirt, sediment, rust and other particulate matter.

2) GAC. 10” granular activated carbon cartridge (pre-filter). Coconut shell granular is used to reduce chlorine, colour, taste, odour, pesticides and organic impurities.

3) CTO. 10" coconut shell carbon cartridge (pre-filter). Activated carbon block assures high-quality pure water by further reducing chlorine, colour, taste, odour.

4) RO-1812-50. Thin film composite reverse osmosis membrane (50 GPD - US Gallons), 0.0001 micron. Semi-permeable membrane removes salts, minerals, metals, bacteria, viruses, cysts, TDS, hardness, fluoride, pesticides, lead, mercury, cadmium, arsenic and more.

5) T33. In-line carbon cartridge (post-filter). Activated granular coconut shell carbon provides the final polishing and assures great-tasting drinking water. We are using NSF approved post carbon to guarantee the taste of water.
Option) MB-115. Mixture of cation and anion de-ionisation resin combined in a 40/60 blend. Mixed-bed demineralizer is used for final water polishing to clean the last few ions within water prior to use. A single pass through a mixed-bed ion-exchange column results in the purest water that can possibly be made.

IMPORTANT:

Do not use with water that is microbiologically unsafe or of unknown quality without adequate disinfection before or after the system.

Water filtration systems can help reduce the presence of contaminants.

In addition, some water filtration systems can help reduce the presence of microorganisms or other contaminants with potential health effects.

We strongly recommend regularly scheduled maintenance and replacement of the filter cartridge in order for the product to perform properly.

Replace the filter cartridges at least every 6 months (depending on water quality).

Replace the RO membrane every 12 months (depending on water quality).

LIMITED WARRANTY: Manufacturer warrants that this product is free from defects in materials and workmanship. This warranty, together with any and all warranties implied by law, shall be limited to a period of twelve (12) months from the date of original purchase. This limited warranty does not apply to failures that result from abuse, misuse, alteration or failure to properly comply with installation, or cartridge change instructions. We strongly recommend adding to all point of use filtration systems a Pressure Limiting Valve (contact us for further details) to guard against unwanted extreme water pressure events pressure increases, surges, and water hammer which could occur in the water pipes. Not having one installed could mean that if you ever did have to claim damage caused by a burst water filter system, the claim will be denied.

What should my water pressure be?

Between 1-3 bar. If between 3-4 bar, consider an un-pumped system.

What Gallon-Per-Day (GPD) is this system?

This is a 50GPD system.

How often should I replace the filters?

Change the pre-filters every 6 months or their recommended lifespans (whichever comes first).
