Salinity Meters

Salinity refers to the concentration of salt dissolved into water. Saline (water containing dissolved solids), contains mainly Sodium and Chloride ions. However, ions of Calcium, Magnesium and Sulphates are also prominent within the solution. A digital refractometer employs the measurement of the refractive index to determine the salinity of a sample of water, enabling you to evaluate if your water quality is within the required range for your application.
