A reverse osmosis membrane is the core component in a RO system, giving it its name. It is constructed from thin, individual layers of semi permeable membrane, spiralled around a permeate (pure water) collection tube. Water is forced at pressure around this spiral and through the ~0.0005 micron sized pores in the membrane; just a fraction larger than the size of a water molecule.
We stock membranes, specialised with varying sizes, outputs and efficiencies. Our more household targeted membranes are produced to be no longer than 12″ long and 3″ wide and work up to 97″ efficiency. However, our more commercial based membranes can be produced up to 40″ long at 8″ wide and operate at over 99% efficiency.
