Pressure Vessels are a fundamental of water treatment, as they are essentially universal in the variety of media it can hold. Raw water enters through the head inlet and into the main chamber of the vessel. This is where the media will interact with the water – necessary contact time is needed for the different treatment processes to be effective. The treated water will be pushed through the bottom distributor, not allowing any media through, up the riser tube and out of the head outlet.
For water to be treated correctly, the media must be completely filling the inside volume of the vessel. When performing fills, the line of media must stop before completely filling the vessel to allow room for the distribution system to be lowered inside. Too much, and the inside system will not properly fit. Whereas too little, and the media cannot completely treat water to the desired quality.
Our Vessels are of specialist design, allowing high temperatures and pressures when using them amongst other components of a treatment system, or on their own as the system itself. Due to the high quality materials and manufacture, they are rust proof and corrosion resistant; they contain no welds or joins, removing the risk of leaks and bursts.
